NJ TRANSIT will operate nine additional North Jersey Coast Line trains on July 3 and will offer a special, convenient ticket option to accommodate spectators attending KaBoom! Fireworks on the Navesink in Red Bank. The event is expected to attract record crowds, and NJ TRANSIT urges customers to purchase tickets in advance and check schedules to avoid lines and reduce crowding.
Mayor Menna is providing free bus transportation to the re-election rally for Gov. Jon Corzine happening on July 16th at Rutger's University the PNC Arts Center in the late afternoon. President Obama will be a featured guest. The event is free, as is the transportation, and will be an outdoor event.
There have been discussions and studies for at least a decade, though I'm sure more, regarding the very dangerous intersection at Maple, White, and Wall St. (The Rite Aid Plaza). It appears now a solution may be in the works.
