The "most dangerous" intersection in town is where Maple Ave bisects Wall & White St. (Corner of Atlantic Glass, Charles Schwab, Firestone and the Rite Aid plaza). The major problem is that the east/west traffic pattern of West/Wall are not directly across
from each other. To top it off, one street is two way and the other is one way.
An enthusiastic group of residents have been working to establish "Safe" biking and walking
routes across Red Bank Streets. The group invites you and your neighbors to attend a discussion about making Red Bank streets safer for these methods of transportation on Oct. 21st at 7pm in the RB Middle School.
The Red Bank Fireworks are full of excitement, crowds, noise, and energy from the eager anticipation leading to the event till the first rocket rips through the night air on that legendary evening; it is a really special night.
There have been discussions and studies for at least a decade, though I'm sure more, regarding the very dangerous intersection at Maple, White, and Wall St. (The Rite Aid Plaza). It appears now a solution may be in the works.
After a 4 year effort, I still have no sense on how the council will vote on 3/23/09 regarding creating a Community Center. They have a good poker face.
