This year McKay Imaging Studio and Gallery's Spring 2009 Photo Exhibit will be "The Albumen Photographs of Giorgio Sommer". These historical photos by Giorgio Sommer (1834-1914) provide an excellent lesson in this history of the photograph, as well as stand along works of art. The exhibit's opening reception will take place on May 15th at McKay Imaging from 7 till 10pm and will run until June 18th.

The photographs of Giorgio Sommer, one of Europe's most prolific photographers of the 19th Century, come from the collection of Gary Steven Groves, an accomplished fine-art photographer himself, and are all for sale. Gary will also be present during the opening reception and music will be provided by Phred Morris.

Gallery hours are Wed. and Thu., 1PM–7PM, or by appointment. For more information please visit www.mckayimaging.com.
