The sidewalks of downtown Red Bank come alive Saturday nights during the summer months with a variety of performers during “StreetLife.” Staring on Saturday, June 5th and continuing on every Saturday night until the end of August, StreetLife has being livening up downtown Red Bank since 2000. Each Saturday night an eclectic mix of acts will perform throughout the downtown area from 6pm-9pm. This year they have also added daytime performances from 12pm-3pm. Musicians, magicians, dancers and more, put on their best acts in the StreetLife series. StreetLife is partially funded by a grant awarded to River Center by the Monmouth County Arts Council. Funk and Standard Variety Store and Count Basie Theatre and also contributing sponsors.
Pink Bank's week long and very well planned event has been battling the rains from mother
nature for the first four days of the event, and the weather forecast for the next four isn't looking any better.
As part of "Paint the Town Pink", a week long series of events that transforms "Red Bank" into "Pink Bank", the annual "Spring into Red Bank" event on May 2nd has turned into "Spring into Pink Bank."
The Red Bank Rivercenter is sponsoring a special event with participating restaurants every Tuesday and Wednesdays throughout the month of March. The special "Prix Fixe" menus
Councilman Michael DuPont & RiverCenter are working together to bring local, county, and state authorities to Red Bank to discuss the economy and resources that might be available to help our business district survive and even thrive during these times.
In order to assess the benefits that were derived from the Special Improvement District called Rivercenter you need only to walk around the downtown district of Red Bank. At this point in time it is flourishing with new businesses and restaurants.
