Save Money Stay Local
The Monmouth County Arts Council has been encouraging people to Save Money, Stay Local with local art events. For those who live in or visit Red Bank, it couldn't be easier.
In case you haven’t seen Two River Theater’s production of Private Lives, by Noel Coward and directed by KJ Sanchez, you have a few more chances this weekend to catch it. Associate Artistic Director KJ Sanchez sheds
a new Latin light on one of the greatest plays ever about love, marriage, love, divorce, and, of course... love. Combine this professional theater visit with a dinner at one of Red Bank’s great restaurants and you have an evening to rival anything in New York.
If you’re looking to discover up and coming stars, go to Count Basie Theatre Friday night for the Red Bank Regional High School Visual & Performing Arts 25th Anniversary Celebration. The performance will feature alumni of the program who are now well established artists as well as performances from current students. A few surprises will be thrown in.
Add to that galleries, antiques, unique stores and good eats, you can’t go wrong.

Bio
I’m Mary Eileen Fouratt the Executive Director of the Monmouth County Arts Council (MCAC) located in Red Bank, where I’ve worked for the past twelve years. I’ve been involved with Red Bank RiverCenter Board since 1999 and the Red Bank Visitors’ Center and love all that the arts bring to Red Bank. For me the arts are a critical part of life and contribute to a complete education for students and life long learning for the rest of us, they bring people together, make us think about other people’s perspectives, stimulate the economy and give us respite from our everyday concerns. I’ll be talking about Red Bank from the perspective of its role as a major hub of arts activity.
