“A Celebration of August Wilson” at the Red Bank Public Library

The Red Bank Public Library will honor Black History Month with two special programs in February. The library, in conjunction with Two River Theater Company, will present “A Celebration of August Wilson” on Monday, February 6, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at the library.
Playwright August Wilson celebrated the history and culture of black America in a monumental series of ten plays, two of which won the Pulitzer Prize for Wilson.
Two River Theater Company will bring a stellar company of stage and film actors to the Red Bank Public Library to share stories and memories of working with Wilson and salute his singular talent. Wilson’s play Jitney appears at the Two River Theater Company January 29 through February 19, 2012, directed by Tony Award winning Ruben-Santiago Hudson. The library program is free, and registration is not required.
