A True Red Banker Returns Home to Run the Boys & Girls Club

by David Prown

I was thrilled to learn of the hiring of Shniece Perry as the Unit Director for the new
Red Bank Branch.

First and foremost important, she understands the culture of the Boys and Girls club having been a program assistant at the Fort Monmouth Unit for 5 years. She followed that with three years as the Teen Program Director at the YMCA in Summit.

Second, and a great bonus to us, she is a product of Red Bank and the Red Bank Primary, Middle, and Regional High School. Her family still lives here too.

She graduated in 1996 from RBR and was one of the best basketball players in school
history. More impressive, she was a Sports Communication major at Towson University in Maryland, a terrific school, and graduated in 4 years.

She played basketball all four years and was All-Conference four years in a row!!!!

She still plays a little hoops in the excellent 16th Ave. Women's Summer League in Belmar.

Primarily her focus is on her career and she is totally psyched to be working in Red
Bank. She is a terrific person and correctly sees herself as an excellent inspiration for
the Red Bank kids.

On behalf of the Red Bank kids, welcome home and welcome to the Boys and Girs club.

We are lucky to have you.
