Prown's Remembers "Olde Red Bank" Calendar Brings out the Tears and Memories

by David Prown
Prown's Calendar

In an effort to thank the amazing Red Bank Area that has supported and been loyal to Prown's for over 85 years, we decided to create a very special commemorative calendar that captures nostalgic images of our home town.

In "Volume 1" of what will be an annual series (our own mini Hess Truck concept), Prown's along with our friends and partner, the multi-generational Dorn's Classic Photos, have taken 14 spectacular Red Bank photographs, ranging in age from 30 - 85 years old, and compiled them into a calendar.

Each photographs exhibits an Edward Hopper-like image that is distinct and very detailed. These shots of old Red Bank grab your attention almost immediately. Whether it's the names of all the stores, to the types of vehicles, to the types of clothing etc, each image stimulates amazing and crisp memories of special periods in one's life here in Red Bank.

Anyone who has had at least a 40 year history with Red Bank are often met with a very touching stream of stories, memories, and yes, tears when they slowly visit each page.

There are only a few hundred copies left of this Free Calendar (limit 1 per family, additional copies are $5 per calendar) and are available at Prown's Home Improvements, 135 Monmouth St., Red Bank.

Thank you
