Great Food, Cheap Prices, Free Parking all in Red Bank...Finally
Gianni's Piazza/Eatery in Little Silver is about one mile from my Red Bank home. Despite the close proximity, I've never gone-the number one reason being the limited parking. Recently however they've opened a Red Bank location just behind Food Town with free parking and great food and prices.
This place is terrific for a quick, excellent, and fairly priced eat in or take out meal. Plenty of staff is on hand for this full Italian restaurant yet comfortable enough to simply sit and have a slice or Italian ice (and watch the big screen TV).
I've been going 3+ times a week. I haven't tried any entree yet, but their salads are excellent and sizable. However, their Pizza is the real "head turner".
Customers walk into around 8 to 10 trays of "freshly cooked" food, and a variety of different pies for slices. The Chicken with Vodka sauce is fabulous and the cheese steak pie is fun and filling.
Grandma's Pizza is my favorite (thin crust Sicilian, homemade tomato sauce with fresh
mozzarella, garlic and basil) - wow!! a home run.
They have most any topping and I can't wait to try their White Clam pie with garlic which
was the pie of choice when I grew up in Connecticut.
Stop in before going shopping (always good to shop on a full stomach so you don't overbuy)
or call from the store aisle 20 minutes before checking out (842-2106) so you can pick
up lunch/dinner for home.
Open 7 days a week and nice late hours.
This great location/parking/food etc. is the formula for a successful eatery.
