RBCS 10th Graduation ceremony avoids the rain and celebrates new achievements
Under threatening skies, the Red Bank Charter School celebrated their 10th graduating class commencement ceremonies at Riverside Garden Park. 18 Red Bank students graduated in a very nice ceremony in front of a standing room crowd of friends and family.
The commencement speaker was Ms. Tiffany M. Williams, Deputy Chief Council for Gov. Corzine and she shared a letter from him to the RBCS graduating class. She also make an excellent speech on "Vision" which perfectly ties in with the schools mission.
Key award winners included Salutatorian Zakiyyah Godsey and Valedictorian Noemi Vadetanto
(who in RBCS tradition presented her speech in both english and spanish.
Monmouth University justly received the Robert M. Nogueria Community Partner Award.
Tying back in with Vision, Kenneth Okereke won the prized RBCS Vision Keeper award. Kenneth, who will be attending Red Bank Catholic in the fall, won the 1st ever Charter Champion Scholarship award. This award, funded by long time friends of the Charter, announced that Kenneth's entire 4 year tuition would be funded by this award - well deserved.
RBMS graduation is tonight at 5:30pm and RBR is Friday at 6pm.
